There are various different forms of access control equipment for example, Biometric Security Readers (Commonly finger print or retina scanning), Pin Code, Mag Strip and Proximity Readers. Depending on your security requirements, in most cases we can integrate the new system with existing equipment. • • Types of system • • Digital Door Entry kits, single or multiple type systems • Door entry systems with both voice and video verification • Door Access with proximity readers that utilise key fobs • Swipe & Smart Cards Door Access systems • Fully integrated to the on site Intruder Alarm System • PC based compatible programmable control options • All systems comply to the new DDA regulations, Disability & Discrimination Act • Flush, Surface & vandal resistant options • High Security with proximity & code entry • Safe Contractor & CHAS (Contractor Health & Safety) Approved. With a multi door access control, PC based system, as well as having the facility to print reports and control who is granted access to your organisation, it can automatically fulfil security tasks such as locking & unlocking doors. Our Door Access / Entry Control Systems can also be fully integrated into any new or existing security system based on site. Referred to as ‘PC based’ or ‘Networked’ access control, these systems may be used to control one or many doors in a building. Access is gained by using a numeric code, or PIN with a keypad, by presenting a proximity or magstripe token or by ‘possesion’ with hands free tokens depending on which type of reader is fitted. PC based access control offers central control, via a network. This means that commands given at the PC are sent to each of the doors. A token can be barred from all of the doors instantly. Another benefit of this type of system is flexible control, allowing you to grant different permissions for individuals or groups of users. Reports may also be generated to see who went where and when. Many systems allow control of additional buildings via existing LAN/WAN. PC based systems are increasingly being used to control other services within buildings, for example intruder alarms, fire doors, lifts and lighting. Key features • 10,000 users (PROXIMITY & CARDLOCK), up to 50 codes (TOUCHLOCK) • Simple token management • Scaleable; systems can be added to easily • Available as PROXIMITY, magstripe (CARDLOCK) or keypads (TOUCHLOCK) Typical applications • Small business premises • Sports clubs • Any low-risk internal door • Apartment complexes • Storage units • Switch2 system • ________________________________________ • A standalone solution, which uses a separate control unit for higher security. The Switch2 control unit is housed on the inside or safe side of the door. The control unit is used in conjunction with a Paxton Access reader or keypad. This provides higher security than a compact system. Switch2 is the standalone solution for external and higher security internal doors. • • Switch2 systems are available with a choice of PROXIMITY or CARDLOCK (magstripe) readers or TOUCHLOCK keypads. Switch2 has a larger range of compatible readers than Compact and may also be used with a combined keypad/proximity reader. Access is gained by using a code or PIN with a keypad, or by presenting a valid token to readers. Simple token management using our token packs makes administration straightforward. • Switch2 systems can be fitted to one or many doors in a building. Additional doors may be added as required. • If you are choosing a standalone system but may want to upgrade to a PC based system in the future, Switch2 is the right choice. Only the control unit would need to be replaced. Readers and other hardware are compatible with both systems. Key features • 10,000 users (PROXIMITY & CARDLOCK), up to 50 codes (TOUCHLOCK) • Separate control unit and reader (high security) • Simple token management • Scaleable; systems can be added to easily • Relay output • Available as PROXIMITY, magstripe (CARDLOCK) or keypads (TOUCHLOCK) Typical applications • Small business premises • Sports clubs • Schools • Apartment complexes • Storage units • Sites requiring high security • Carpark barriers Example systems Net2 is one of the most economical access control systems on the market. There are no hidden costs such as per seat licences; the software may be loaded on all the PC’s in a building if required. The standard version of our software, which includes all the features most organisations will need, is free. Perhaps even more importantly your investment is future proofed. Adding additional doors in your building as your needs change is straightforward and cost effective. In addition, all new innovations to the system are designed to be backward compatible. Software upgrades are free. Net2 offers the key requirements of a PC based access control system. • Central control • Flexible access permissions • Reporting The software gives you full control over the system from your desk. Any instructions given to the software are immediately updated at all the doors. Adding users, barring users and changing users’ access permissions are all done from the PC quickly and easily. If your company has several buildings, access to all of them can still be controlled from one location. Net2 will control many buildings in different locations using TCP/IP across your existing network. Access permissions may be set individually or by department. This makes setting up different permissions for different groups of people quick and straightforward. Some areas may be restricted to only a certain group of users. Shift patterns may be set for departments, and those permissions are allocated instantly when a new user card is issued. • An events screen allows viewing of ‘real time’ events as they are happening. Monitor who is where in a building, if doors have been left propped open or a door been forced. In addition to the ‘live’ information, reports can easily be created from the software. Net2 software can be loaded onto one or many PC’s in your organisation. Different administrative rights may be given to each user. Perhaps the Security Manager would be the only person who could alter users’ access permissions, but it may be convenient for your receptionist to be able to issue cards for visitors. Up to five PC’s on a network may administer the system simultaneously. Net2 systems may be used with a choice of PROXIMITY, Hands free, CARDLOCK (magstripe) readers and TOUCHLOCK keypads. Net2 is also compatible with a range of 3 third-party readers, including biometric readers. To discuss your requirements or book a no obligation quotation call us on 01754 769371
